Welcome!

We encourage you to participate in ACTIVE relaxation and a fantastic adventure with GC Active Tour!

Our walking trips are an excellent opportunity for mountain lovers to learn about the island from a totally different perspective. During our walking trips, we will show you the true nature of Gran Canaria, far from the huge agglomerations and the hotel base.

The island belongs to the region of Macaronesia and is one of the most beautiful places on our planet… incredible flora and fauna. The natural richness that we can experience here includes ravines, beaches, caves, craters, waterfalls – we would like to show you all of this during our trip.

How does our typical day look like?

The organizer and guide in one person collects the participants at about 08:30-09:00 a.m. at the meeting spot on the island (the hotel, apartment, bungalow). Next, depending on our track (north or center of the island), we travel on a mini-bus for an hour to see the landscapes of the island full of wild ravines and curvy mountain roads. Then, after discussing the route and giving necessary advice and information, we will begin our 4-hour walk. This is the time to see and experience all that is hidden on this wonderful island. Our experienced guide who has lived on Gran Canaria for many years will be the person to answer your questions about the island, to show you the flora and fauna and to tell you interesting facts that cannot be found in the official tourist guidebooks.

As for photography lovers, this is an ideal chance to take amazing and unique photos that will surely enrich your memories of the trip to the island. After returning from the track, it will be time for the last stage of our trip – the return for a well-deserved siesta to the southern part of the island where our mutual adventure began. However, before that happens, we will stop by one of the local restaurants for dinner and to replenish the calories lost while walking. For those that would like to experience the secrets of Canarian cuisine, this is a chance to try the local specialties, such as the mojo and alioli sauces, the famous “Papas arrugadas”, as well as meat dishes, grilled fish or vegetarian meals.
